September's Startup: Green Phenix. This month, we're hearing from Tijman de Vries with Green Phenix.
Tijmen de Vries is a social environmentalist by trade. He moved to CuraƧao in the summer of 2022 with the aim to make a contribution to the sustainable management of the environment. He found a good fit withĀ Green Phenix, where he works as a Community Developer.
At this Huddle, TijmenĀ will talk about Green Phenix, a social enterprise that was formed after volunteers of the Sea Turtle Conservation expressed their frustration about the trash they picked up from the beach. The aim of Green Phenix is to foster a circular and inclusive economy in the Caribbean, starting in CuraƧao by collecting and recycling plastic and aluminum, raising awareness about plastic pollution and stimulating preventive policies within the government and private companies. Come support Tijmen and help him overcome his challenge!
